Brief introduction for the new Guangzhou Baiyun Int'l airport
     Guangzhou Baiyun Int'l airport was founded in 1930's, as one of the three center airports in China inland. It takes up an important strategic status in the Chinese civil airport condition.
On Aug.5th 2004, the new Guangzhou Baiyun Int'l airport formally brought into use, with totally 19.8 billion investment budget. It is the first airport that designed and constructed according to the centrum airport theory in China. In the first phase of project, two parallel runways in the flight area were constructed according to the 4E standard. The third special freight runway for Fedex was founded in 2008. Totally planning to make 5 runways. What is more, the phase one terminal in the new airport was 0.32 million m2, which is the largest one in China. All the establishment & equipment inside the terminal has reached the international advanced level.
     Now, Baiyun Airport has flight business with more than 33 airways and has opened more than 110 international & internal flight-lines to over 100 cities all over the world. There are cargo airplane flights from UPS, Northwest airlines, Japan airlines, Korean air, Asiana airlines, Air France, Lufthansa, Air China & Saudi arabian airlines, etc.. It is the basic airport of South China and Asia-Pacific transferring center of Fedex.
