Rockwood Group 2007 Winter Annual Meeting opened on Nov. 28 in Beijing and closed victoriously on Nov. 30. Group president Mr. Danny Wong and group head office leaders Mr. Peter Tung, KC Wong, Bon Lee as well as managers from other branches attended the meeting.
Fully followed the instruction of group leaders, the meeting was held with definite objectives, fresh styles, distinct grades and a a effectiveness. Conventioneers discussed the long term development direction of Rockwood Group comprehensively and thoroughly. The developing strategy of lgistic Industrialization?proposed by Mr. Danny Wong was further defined during the meeting. A core competition tactics of progressing towards high-class logistic projects of "High-tech content, High service adhesiveness, and High additional profit?was also proposed in the meeting. Conventioneersalso carried serious discussion and communication about the Freight Forwarding, Bonded Logistics, Supply Chain Management, and Logistic Solutions, which are key projects of the core business, fully discussed the "Blue Sea?tactics thought of how to explore the boundary of business field, how to search for value creation based on our company's situation. These discussions laid a solid theoretical foundation for the hundreds years of long term development of Rockwood Group.
The meeting fixed the project of setting up the Group HR and Training Centre in Beijing Region, the Group Legal Consultant Centre in Shanghai Region, the Group Business Management Centre in Hong Kong, the Group Accountant Management Centre in Hong Kong, and the Group IT Centre in Xiamen. The function of each centre is also discussed in detail. The establishment of these centres will strongly ensure the integration of Group resources and the fast development of Rockwood Group. Meanwhile, it will further reinforce the central management of each branch.
During the meeting, branch managers visited the Training Centre of BES project and the base in Beijing Bonded Logistic Centre. They gave full approval and praise to Beijing colleagues for their hard work.
